New Orthopedic Surgeons Join Memorial Medical Center Team

Memorial Medical Center is proud to announce that Drs. Barry Cromer and Raha Mobarak have joined the orthopedic team at Memorial Medical Center. Combined, these providers bring more than 35 years of orthopedic experience and expertise to the Las Cruces community emphasizing orthopedic care that is focused on getting you back to your active lifestyle as soon as possible. 

Dr. Cromer is a general orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, including knee and shoulder injuries. He also treats sprains, strains, fractures and rotator cuff trauma. To provide patients with the least invasive option and the shortest recovery time, he performs many of his surgeries arthroscopically. His number one goal is getting all patients an appointment immediately so he can get them on the road to recovery and as close to their previous level of function as soon as possible. This includes patients with Worker’s Compensation injuries that need to get back to work. Dr. Cromer brings more than 20 years of orthopedic experience to Las Cruces and the surrounding area. Outside of work, Dr. Cromer exercises and coaches high school sports.

Dr. Mobarak, an established podiatrist in the Las Cruces community, moves his practice to Memorial Bone+Joint Center. Dr. Mobarak is more than just a foot and ankle surgeon who focuses on the bones and ligaments of the foot; he also concentrates on the vascular composition of the lower leg. He is especially proud of the limb preservation program he is developing with the dedicated team at MMC. This innovative program diagnoses diabetic patients early so they can begin treatment of their vascular issues immediately before amputations are necessary. His work at the Memorial Wound Care Center led him to realize the importance and need for a program of this magnitude in Las Cruces. Dr. Mobarak has been a podiatrist for more than 15 years and finds service is the best way to giving back community.
