New Cardiologist Joins Memorial Medical Center Team

Memorial Medical Center is proud to announce that Udit Bhatnagar, MD has joined the Cardiovascular team at Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Bhatnagar is Board-certified in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT. His expertise in Interventional Cardiology helps him specialize in the treatment of coronary artery disease, acute heart attacks, heart disease, hypertension, peripheral arterial disease, and advanced cardiogenic shock therapies.
Bhatnagar studied medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. He completed his Residency at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He attained his first fellowship of Cardiology at the University of South Dakota and later moved to San Antonio, TX and finished his second fellowship of Interventional Cardiology at the University of Texas.
Bhatnagar treats patients with conditions such as congenital heart defects, advanced heart failure, heart rhythm disorders and heart valve disorders. He performs procedures including angioplasty and stenting, atherectomy, embolic protection, percutaneous valve repair and balloon angioplasty.
When asked about what kind of patient care Dr. Bhatnagar conveys, he stated, “Although education plays an important role in the way I treat my patients, I value building a lasting relationship with my patients.” He also said, “Challenges can form when lifestyle changes must happen revolving around heart health or overall health, but in retrospect I am absolutely humbled to have such a responsibility to a patients long term health.”
Bhatnagar was born and raised in New Delhi, India speaking English, Hindi, and Urdu fluently. When Bhatnagar is not treating patients, he can be found reading, painting, grilling and entertaining friends. We welcome him, and his wife to Las Cruces.
